A new era of Royal Enfield motorcycle is well and truly upon us - following the Himalayan 450’s launch last year, the new Royal Enfield Hunter 450 is coming closer.
We are not too far on from the reveal of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and that bike has not even arrived in dealers yet, but already a new model built on its platform seems to be on its way within the year.
In the shape of the Royal Enfield Hunter 450, the Indian brand’s 450 platform is set to expand. While the Hunter 450’s existence is not news in itself, we do now have a sighting of the bike thanks to spy shots published by the Indian publication, Hindustan Times.
The photos show a retention in the Hunter 450 of some of the features of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 that launched back in 2022. Obviously, the engine is different, but the single headlamp and conventional front fork, for example, remain in place, as does the neo-retro naked aesthetic, and relatively high bar position.
At the rear, there is a monoshock, while both ends feature tubeless tyres, alloy wheels, and disc brakes. On that subject, braking features anti-lock assistance, but Hindustan Times reports that it is not yet known whether it will be possible to turn off the ABS on the Hunter 450.
There is no real indication yet on when we might expect the Hunter 450 to be launched in an official capacity by Royal Enfield, but Hindustan Times suggests the bike could be revealed before the end of the year.
