Kymco has announced a new pricing model for a number of bikes across its current 2023 model range.
An understandable immediate reaction to that news on its own might be quite negative. You might immediately expect that a “pricing realignment”, as Kymco puts it, is only meaning prices are increasing.
However, in this case, the reality is actually the opposite, as Kymco has reduced the price of nine motorcycles in its range, from those at its least expensive and smallest displacement end right up to its premium models.
Mark Hermolle of Kymco UK put the decision to reduce the prices on many Kymco models down to increasing financial difficulties for many people, including particularly those in London where the ULEZ has recently expanded.
He said: “With the ongoing interest rate rises, expansion of ULEZ around London and of course the ongoing pressures on household incomes, we decided to take positive action now with our pricing realignment. The Kymco range offers a very effective and affordable transport solution and with this reduction we hope to open more eyes to the benefits of two and three-wheel transport.”
