It was back in 2019 where we saw the Bimota Tesi H2 unveiled for the first time, and there has been plenty of talk about the KB4 in the run-up to the return of EICMA in 2021.
Tucked away next to the Kawasaki stand at this years show, we were teased with 3 bikes under wraps when doing a first sweep of the floor space - and later on at the reveal, we were shown the Tesi H2, then the KB4, and were surprised with the reveal of the KB4 RC.
Bimota KB4 (2022) and KB4 RC (2022)
Using the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX engine with a bespoke frame, suspension and chassis components, the KB4 is a 1043cc 140 bhp torquey machine, yet Bimota say will be easy to ride and exciting to look at.
The KB4 has a bit of retro sportbike air about it, and the KB4 RC is its naked racey sibling, with rear-mounted cooling fans and sharp-angled design style. Both bikes are well specced, featuring Öhlins suspension, Brembo brakes, Pirelli Supercorsa hoops and electronics borrowed from Kawasaki, namely the lean-sensitive and cornering packages.
Price has not been revealed yet, and when asking Bimota about ranges they were keeping tight-lipped for now. The Tesi H2 was given a £59,000 price tag on release, and whilst likely it’ll be lower than that, but remain in the higher brackets to match the exclusive nature of the machine. We’re gonna guess… £30,000.
These Bimota’s will be available in the UK from early 2022, pencilled in for a February release.
